Domain Registration Rates |

Most organizations or businesses usually register their company name as the domain name or host name. It is considered wise to register a domain name that also best describes your product or service. It is also clever to register more than one domain name for your business, but not too many. This does not mean that one has to host several different websites. It is common practise to host one domain and apply a domain forwarder or redirect from the other domain names to the main website. e.g. www.twentyonedigital.co.za is a parked domain with a web redirect to www.21digital.co.za

A registered domain is required to at least be parked on a Web Server if the domain is not going to be used for email or web hosting. Parked Domains are charged monthly at R 21.00 per domain!
 Steps to register a domain name, first check that the domain name you want is available:
DOMAIN TRANSFERS
Why does a domain name need to be transfered? Domain transfers are only required if the domain is being hosted with Web Hosting Service Provider A and you wish to host your domain with another web hosting service provider such as 21 Digital. Since the domain will be living at a new location or address, the central domain name registrar or the white pages directory for domain names need to have their records updated so that anyone visiting your website will arrive at the correct address. This 'directory' is called a DNS (Domain Name System) which resides on centralized Domain Name Servers all around the world.  We will gladly assist you to transfer your domain(s) to our web hosting servers at no extra cost when signing up for one of our Web Hosting Plans. Please Note:
The client is however responsable for the payment of any outstanding domain renewal fees and / or web hosting fees with the previous internet service provider before the domain can be transferred.
