There is so much to say about web design. What makes 21 Digital different from many other web designers is the fact that we understand how the internet works. This fact is crucial to a succesfull website as there is a whole lot more to consider when designing a website than meets the eye. We are passionate about design and thus have extremely talented people in our creative graphics department, creating websites that are pleasing to the eye and that combine a good balance between design layout and function. There are three main categories we place website design into: 1) Showcase Website - this type of website is your typical informational / brochure / catalogue website. Commonly programmed in HTML using CSS, Flash and other scripting like Java, CGI, PERL etc. 2) Content Managed Website - or otherwise known as CMS (Content Management System) is a basically what the name implies, a website that is rich in content, much like wiki-pedia, but on a smaller scale. Joomla is an Opensource CMS platform which is great for a content rich website. e.g. - Some Joomla websites references designed by 21 Digital Web, www.style4life.co.za, www.dancedomain.co.za, www.etypesa.co.za. 3) Dynamic Website - any website that requires CMS, eCommerce, integration and any other specific programming requirements needs a database behind it. MYSQL is a favourite Opensource database system used by web developers. At 21 Digital, there is no project too big or too small. As every person is unique, each business is unique and has different requirements and expectations. Thus, we do not offer web design packages, but consult with each client and quote on each website project separately.
